In this two-segment course, Dr. Steve Poss will demonstrate techniques to replace old, worn anterior and posterior direct composite restorations with the new generation of materials to create improved esthetics. In the first segment, a step-by-step demonstration of the proper boding procedure to eliminate sensitivity in posterior restorations will be presented.

Course fee: $199.00

Shade selection will be discussed and demonstrated, along with an easy-to-use shade guide system. Utilizing an innovative new system, Dr. Poss will demonstrate how to create beautiful internal anatomy with very little postoperative adjustment.

In the second segment, a creative new development in direct composites will be shown in treatment involving replacement of a large stained anterior restoration. Proper shade selection will be demonstrated, followed by step-by-step instructions on creating an anterior restoration from the inside out utilizing dentin and enamel shades.

Highlights of the course will include the following:

  • Selecting the proper shade to obtain optimal results.
  • Posterior occlusal placement to have an esthetic direct composite in a minimal amount of time.
  • A quick yet effective method to receive ideal results in composite polishing.
  • The layering process for ideal anterior composite restorations.
