An endodontist is in the unique position to evaluate when a tooth can predictably be endodontically treated; non-surgical or surgical root canal retreated. When the outcome ot the tooth is not favorable, extraction and replacement whit a dental implant would be the protocol to follow.

In considering treatment plan, it is imperative to provide the patient with all treatment options, as well as the financial cost and procedures associated with each treatment options.
